RETRO JAMMERS AND MYSTERY KOOL-AID TASTE TEST!

This ain't Jonestown but today, we're drinking ALL the Kool-Aid! That's right, we got 3 different flavors of Kool-Aid Jammers to taste test including 2 throwback Retro Jammers "Purplesaurus Rex" and "Rockadile Red" and a mystery flavor!

As an avid vintage Kool-Aid collector, I was thrilled that yet again we are seeing some old school golden age Kool-Aid flavors return. A few years ago, we got the whole lineup of all the mascot flavors in packet form. While this time we only got the return of 2, they are arguably the most popular AND they returned in jammer form with some sweet updated art similar to the originals! Up until now, we've only seen Sharkleberry Fin in a Jammer out of all the mascot flavors; so to me, this is a real treat!

Starting off with Purplesaurus Rex; we got the Kool-Aid man and Purplesaurus Rex himself in a sweet little jeep. A nice updated version of that old art work. The drink dawns a dull purple color, which isn't all that important since its in a Jammer anyways. Same old beautiful flavor; the perfect match of Lemonade and Grape. Purplesaurus Rex was a household staple, so I'm relatively familiar with the taste and it hasn't changed a bit and it is still 100% delicious.

Rockadile Red is seen with Kool-aid Man jamming out with a guitar and some drums which looks beautiful. The color is a lot more vibrant than the Purplesaurus Rex; this deep red color looking like that stuff that brings ghosts back to life in Casper. I've never had the pleasure of enjoying Rockadile Red as far as I can remember, but the flavor is heavy in the strawberry and cherry side. Think of a cherry halls cough drop mixed with just a splash of Faygo Red. Really enjoyable.

On to the mystery flavor. This came out a while ago and by now everyone already knows that its cotton candy which is perfect for summer. It's delicious and actually fairly spot on. I wondered how well they could pull off cotton candy Kool-Aid and I have to say, they've done an excellent job. It's kind of got a blue cotton candy flavor in my opinion so a little on the berry side. I'd love to see what artwork they would've done had this not been a mystery flavor contest.

So that’s it! No cults, no massacres, just damn good Kool-Aid! I found all these at Walmart but they've been found at Dollar General as well. What flavors if Kool-Aid do you hope happens next? Let us know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
