Ben and Jerry's got into edible cookie dough not too long ago and have dabbled a little in the holiday flavor with these new-ish gingerbread cookie dough bites. They've been around for some time this year and I thought exclusively to Target stores until I took my weekly stroll down Wal-Marts ice cream aisle. I was beginning to worry these only existed on the internet as I've never seen them in any Target I've visited. The bites come in a resealable zip lock style bag and are to be kept frozen but don't worry, they're soft even fresh out the freezer.

Upon opening, the smell of ginger is barely noticeable. At first, these are great; a nice bit of cinnamon and ginger and sweetness but, maybe its just me, once you’ve gone through a few of them.. it becomes an overwhelming amount of straight up ginger. It's almost too much; the flavor really sticks with you for a while too making these sort of an easy one to set down after a few which can be good or bad depending on your outlook on your food intake. Perhaps it’s the fact that I shoveled about 20 in my mouth at the same time; we may never know.

All in all, these gingerbread cookie dough bites are pretty good but they're not my absolute favorite thing in the world. I give em a 7 out of 10. When it comes to Ben and Jerry's, there are a lot of other items I'd go to first. I've actually had the other edible cookie doughs they've made and I enjoy them much more over these particular ones. Thanks for reading!
