We’re back with another food review! And this time we’re tackling Limited Time Originals Holiday Eggnog Shortbread Cookies found at Martins stores! I’m a huge fan of eggnog and am fairly excited about these.

What caught my eye first was the beautiful and quite festive green and red packaging. I also love the faint glow of Christmas lights in the background. “Welcome holiday cheer into your home with the flavor of the season - eggnog! Our Shortbread Cookies allow you to enjoy this enticing flavor any time, even without a cup!” I’ll be the judge of that!

These are relatively small cookies, about the size of a silver dollar which only means that I can fit more of them in my mouth at one time. Texture: A+. They’re covered in this sugar dust and they’re sweet enough to keep eating but not be overwhelmed. Eggnog flavor: where the fuck are you? I’ve got nothing, just tastes like a typical shortbread cookie. Nothing more, nothing less. For a cookie that claims it allows you to enjoy the flavor any time without the cup, I just don’t get that from it at all.

In conclusion, these are great for people looking for regular old shortbread cookies. If you’re an eggnog fan, you’re not going to get any here. Easily a 3 out of 10 flavor wise. On the scale of regular old shortbread cookies, maybe a 7. Shortbread is just kinda… meh, not really exciting but great if you’re going to be dipping them in random shit that doesn’t taste like shortbread. Thanks for reading!
