While looking for interesting facts about Fruit Roll Ups, I found a drop tab in the frequently asked questions area in Google labeled "Why are Fruit Roll Ups so good?" Instead of getting an answer, some asshole decided to tell me they're loaded with sugar and how bad they are for your health. So... anyways, we're going to eat these regardless because I choose not to listen to such negativity... ESPECIALLY when it comes to Halloween fronted candy.

So, today, we are taking a dive into Franken Berry and Boo Berry Fruit Roll Ups. These have been around for a few years now but I've only gotten around to them both this year. I loved that last years batch came in the new artwork but the fact that they decided to give these a retro look this year intrigued me enough to scoop them up at the very first site. Granted, I scooped up about 5 boxes of halloween cereal since they were right next to them, but it's still a win for Monster Fruit Roll Ups.

Starting off with Franken Berry or "Strawberry Scream", the strawberry is kind of muted at first but as you chew the sweetness as well as the candy strawberry flavor comes out. Its a very tart strawberry; almost hitting a sour ish note. The artwork on these things is beautiful however it saddens me that I can never get one that has the full image of the logo. It's almost always cut off and incomplete.

Onto Boo Berry or "Razzle Boo Blitz." I assumed they were going for blue raspberry with this one but I almost get that with a mix of blueberry. Honestly, its a pleasant surprise. I think I enjoy these more than the Strawberry Scream ones.

Questions and thoughts? These were both amazing but it's 2020... where's the chocolate Count Chocula Roll Ups? We've gotten Turkey Dinner candy corn... is it too much to ask? After all, pudding roll ups were a thing before. Lets bring that shit back! All in all, both of these are delicious but ultimately Boo Berry has won me over. Thanks for reading!
