Welcome to part 2 of however many parts of 2021 Halloween Junkfood there will be! No really, I thought for sure we'd be done seeing new products by now, but no; they keep unleashing them. I fear for both my wallet as well as my health as I'm sure I'm on the brink of a diabetic coma. Let's get into it!

MINIONS CANDY CORN

New to 2021, the Minions make their Halloween candy debut in a unique form of candy corn. I don't know shit about Minions other than they are from the movie Despicable Me. I watched it in theaters but I can't tell you what it's about. Ah well... candy corn!

This candy corn is tri-flavored; banana, blue raspberry and vanilla. I tried separating the flavors but it didn't work so well. I'll be honest, when these flavors all come together, it strangely enough tastes like circus peanuts to me. I'm not a big fan of circus peanuts at all so these aren't for me. If you like circus peanuts, these just might be up your ally!

I'm giving these a 3 out of 10. I loved the idea but the flavors clash way too hard and end up tasting not that great in the end.

TOOTSIE ROLL GHOST DOTS

Not so new but returning after a looooong hiatus, Ghost Dots by Tootsie Roll! I've never had em or even heard of them until this year, so they're new as hell to me.

Oh, how I love Ghost Dots! Let me count the ways: 1. The moonlit sky box art and general existence of these positively adorable cartoony ghosts! 2. The mystery flavor gimmick. You'd think I'd be annoyed with it at this point but, nah, I still really enjoy this reoccurring theme in Halloween items lately. And finally 3. These little dudes are fucking glow in the dark green! No, they don't actually glow but they have that spooky opacity thing going on which is to die for!

I hate tootsie rolls with a passion. This to me is Tootsie Roll redeeming themselves. Another 10 in the books!

WARHEADS GUMMY SOUR BODY PARTS

New for this year, we have these cool new Sour Candy Body Parts from Warheads! Everyone knows Warheads, the kings of sour candy, however I haven't seen much talk about these guys.

I absolutely LOVE the packaging and could care less if the candy itself tastes like trash; that Frankensteined Wally Warhead is all that I need.

The candy is good, though. You get your typical sour blue raspberry (teeth), black cherry (bones) and green apple (brains) flavored gummy snacks which come correct with that classic super sour sugary dust. I really dig the gummy body parts thing as a whole for Halloween; add Warheads to the equation and you have a real winner.

I'm throwing a big 8 out of 10 for these beauties. I found these at Big Lots of all places and am unsure where else they may be available.

“BUCKET” OF BONES

Far from new but I couldn't miss out on a chance to quickly talk about this beautiful gem; the bucket of bones! Ok so that's not exactly the official title of this thing but you can't tell me it doesn't sound 1000x better than "tin of two different flavored bags of bones."

Two bags of "Bag of Bones" Cheetos, one white cheddar and one flaming hot, featuring new artwork, stuffed in this remarkable tin; the type of tin that your grandma stores that shitty but also deliciously stale party mix from 15 years ago in.

9 out of 10. Sorry gram, I'm keeping the tin.

MONSTER MASH CEREAL

This is the big one! 50 years of Monster Cereals! It's crazy to think that 20 years before my time, people were enjoying Count Chocula with milk, juice and toast or whatever ridiculous combination the commercials think your all carb 0% protein breakfast should have included.

From what I understand, each piece represents one of the monsters in this box of cereal; which makes sense and is cool. I'm glad they didn't mix fruit with chocolate. I would've loved to see all 5 monsters released in their individual boxes; it's the big 50! Go all out! Then again... seeing them all on a very colorful yet very black box has a charm all of it's own.

For the box art alone, it's a 10 for me. Happy 50th, Monster bois!

Thanks for checking out my review of some new and returning fall and Halloween junkfood! Stay tuned, there is much more to come!
